Chocolate Malt


Chocolate Malt, the name is more of a reference to the colour of the malt because it has the appearance of dark chocolate.
It lends a roasted or nutty flavour to the beer as well as a deep red colour.

Lovibond: 325–375

Generally, it is mostly used for colour and flavour in darker beers.

EBC: 800 – 1000
